This exhibition is a collection of works in Kodachrome by Shannon Duncan, Donna Fernandez and Tere Garcia. Kodachrome film, a silver gelatin based color reversal film, was discontinued in 2009. These images were made one year ago with the intention of finding a way to re-purpose the film. With research it was discovered that Kodachrome film can be developed with black and white chemistry. Although the negatives are not technically ideal, the distressed results create a nostalgic image which lends an aspect of narrative to the work.
On view through April 19.
