Rice University Art Gallery's fall season will open with a new installation by street artist Gaia, in which painting, drawing, printmaking and collage will come together to express the artist's larger-than-life impression of Houston's sprawling urban landscape and increasingly international demographic.

The opening reception will feature remarks by Gaia at 6 p.m. Complimentary snacks and beverages, including ale courtesy of Saint Arnold Brewing Company, will be served.
