Freeing the Word in Small Spaces is a juried show by the Women in Visual and Literary Arts. The exhibit will feature 2-D and 3-D works that reflect on the word in its various physical incarnations — printing, book forms, support text and signage. In the prospectus, the artists were asked to reflect on the printed word's contributions to the world, and its implications for the future.
