Art opening reception: Esteban Vicente – 1960s Drawings


Esteban Vicente – Drawings 1960 to 1969 presents a rare educational opportunity to study the drawings and the life of a 20th century master in similar detail as museum curators and art historians. Esteban Vicente, 1903-2001, was the only Spanish born member of the first generation of Abstract Expressionists. Part of the Spanish Avant-Garde, he fled the Spanish Civil War and arrived in America in 1936.

On view through Dec. 1.

The show is presented in conjuction with The Esteban Vicente Archives Visiting Library on view from Nov. 6 through Nov. 10.
