Bird is the Word features new paintings by Archway Gallery member artist Christie Coker and new sculptures by member artist Andrea Wilkinson. Coker and Wilkinson are frequent collaborators, with complimentary art works in the Bird is the Word exhibition that focus on Texas birds. The artists both are inspired by birds, from their colorful array of feathers to their melodic voices, the artists can't help but stop, look, listen in sheer awe and peaceful contentment.

The artists will be at the opening reception to visit with guests and will share their insights about their work during an artists' talk at 6:30 p.m.
