One of Art League Houston's most important events, the Montrose Art Party, or MARTY, supports the Healing Art Program. Originally founded by Houston artist Patrick Palmer in 1990, the program provides weekly art classes to adults living with HIV/AIDS. In 1995, Art League expanded the program to include art classes for adults living with other severe illnesses including cancer, multiple sclerosis, fibromyalgia, and physical disabilities.

Each year, the event has a special theme. This year's MARTY, "The Martini," is co-chaired by Bobby Bass, Robert S. Daniel, and Susan Brock Quarles, and will be a casual, retro cocktail party inspired by the classic martini cocktail. The event will feature music by Flash Gordon Parks, delectable bites, and a cash bar with beer from Saint Arnold Brewing Company, and a special martini.
