This new Architecture Center Houston tour explores the original foot print of the Heights, Houston's first mixed-use community and home to 120 of the 215 National Register of Historic Places listed in Houston. Guests will look at a wide variety of building types that are historic and original to the area as well as more recent contemporary architecture. The tour will discuss how these fit into the context of the neighborhood.
Reservations are required for this tour as attendance is limited.
Attendees need to bring their own bicycle and safety gear. If you do not have your own bicycle, you can rent one from Houston B-Cycle or West End Bicycles.
Tour meets at the Heights Branch of the Houston Public Library. If you drive, park in the street and not the library parking lot as it's reserved for library patrons.
