The exhibit includes 36 examples of religious architecture located throughout Texas. The buildings range from Spanish missions to the painted churches of Central Texas. Mosques, Buddhist and Hindu temples, intimate spaces, mega spaces, traditional and non-traditional spaces are all featured. Historic, ethnic and ritual influences have played major roles in the design of each structure, but of special interest is the manner in which many of them are expressions of varied heritages.
On view through Jan. 13.
