Apollo Chamber Players presents Origins

Continuing their 10th Anniversary season, Apollo Chamber Players will explore their beginnings and how its multicultural and folkloric focus was discovered. The program features composers who inspired Apollo to pursue programmatic concert themes connected to Houston’s and the United States’ cultural diversity, along with the inception of 20x2020.

Highlights include the continuation of their Bartók string quartet cycle, historical Greek ‘Rebetika’ folk songs, and music of contemporary composers Karim Al-Zand and Erberk Eryılmaz.
