Apollo Chamber Players
Apollo Chamber Players' season finale concert, "Muses of Love and Folksong," programs impassioned works by composers stirred by unrequited love and inspired by enduring affection for folk melodies — proudly wearing their hearts on their sleeves.
On tap for the evening are Beethoven's String Quartet in E Minor, Op. 59 No. 2, Bartok's String Quartet No. 1, Josef Suk's Love Song for Violin and Piano, Franz Liszt's Romance oubliée (Forgotten Romance) for Viola and Piano and folk melodies from Eastern Europe and Hungary.
