Join the Apollo Chamber Players for an evening of music by the Germanic heavyweights of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic eras. The program will feature selections from J.S. Bach’s dance-infused E MajorPartita, Beethoven’s captivating Violin SonataNo. 10 in G Major and Brahms’ thrilling and impassioned Piano Quartet in C Minor. While focusing on the folk-based inspiration imbued in each of these works, the ensemble will also highlight the unique veneration each of these towering composers possessed for one another. Also highlighting the program will be the premiere of a set of German/Bavarian folk melodies arranged for strings.
