An evening of luscious gypsy dances, alluring songs of the bullfighter and spirited Spanish folk melodies, the Apollo Chamber Players are quickly earning a reputation in Houston for impassioned classical music performances that infuse folk music with style and flair. 

The program will feature Sarasate's dynamic and virtuosic Jota Navarra and Zigeunerweisen, and Turina's Bullfighter's Prayer string quartet and his Piano Quartet in A Minor. In Apollo style, the ensemble will also present an eclectic set of Spanish folk and dance melodies arranged for strings, including Malagueñas, Romance de Amor and others.
