Aperio will present a stylish crossover program featuring a blend of popular and classical orchestral favorites. Burt Bachrach’s melodies are paired with pop-inspired music by Michael Torke. Mexican composer Arturo Marquez’s music complements the world premiere of a double concerto by American composer Kevin Day.
Soloists include Aperio’s own Ernesto Vega (clarinet) along with guest soloists Sasha Callahan (violin), and Leo Eguchi (cello). Maestro Marlon Chen (Manila Symphony) conducts this program that showcases the versatility of Aperio’s orchestral ensemble.
