Anya Tish Gallery presents "The Weight of Place." a group exhibition exploring the emotional, psychological, and physical landscapes we revisit through memory. Featuring a ;lineup of contemporary Texas-based female artists - Megan Harrison, Marisol Valencia, and Lillian Warren - the show brings together large-scale paintings, mixed media works, and elegant porcelain sculptures that reflect on the ways we hold onto the past through sensory experience

In these works, memory is grounded, tangible, and shaped by the places we return to in search of what once was. Each artist draws from nature and personal reflection to create meditative, material-driven pieces that echo the complexities of memory. From luminous urban scenes to layered geologic forms and refined, collaged sculptures, "The Weight of Place" captures the interplay between material and memory, and how texture and form have the remarkable ability to evoke a sense of place.

Following the opening reception, the exhibit will be on display until August 23.
