The global museum community will converge in Houston for the 105th American Association of Museums Annual Meeting and Museum Expo. The theme for the event is “The Museum of Tomorrow” and the 5,500 meeting participants will explore the vital role museums can and will play in meeting the myriad challenges confronting society in the decades to come.

These Public Sessions Track are designed to appeal to the average museum visitor and local citizens. These sessions will give the general public an “inside look” at how museums work.

Description: Today’s museums are committed to serving as partners in education, stewards of lifelong learning, and centers of discovery. Designed for parents and caregivers, this session will examine how children learn in museums and the cognitive, social, and physical developmental benefits of museum experiences.
