The American Root Reading Series presents Lucha Corpi, internationally renowned poet, novelist and children's book author. Widely published by Arte Publico Press, Corpi's latest work, Confessions of a Book Burner: Personal Essays and Stories, explores the topics of race, discrimination and feminism.
Joining Corpi will be Houston's own Matthew Salesses, author of the upcoming novel The Hundred-Year Flood, and Jennifer McFarland.
