American Guild of Organists National Convention

The National Convention of the American Guild of Organists occurs every two years. The convention this year will feature 23 performances, six worship services, and more than 70 workshops will showcase some of the best artists in the world. Familiar names, such as Ars Lyrica, Houston Chamber Choir, and Houston Symphony, will be among the performers.

More than 17 new compositions for organ will be showcased during the convention. The compositions range in scope from large compositions for organ and other instruments or organ and choir to smaller compositions appropriate for church musicians. The “Bayoubuchlein,” a collection of new choral preludes for organ, will be available in digital format to all attendees.
