The global museum community will converge in Houston for the 105th American Association of Museums Annual Meeting and Museum Expo. The theme for the event is “The Museum of Tomorrow” and the 5,500 meeting participants will explore the vital role museums can and will play in meeting the myriad challenges confronting society in the decades to come.

These Public Sessions Track are designed to appeal to the average museum visitor and local citizens. These sessions will give the general public an “inside look” at how museums work.

Description: Attention AAM Volunteers and Corporate friends! Calling all Downtown business neighbors! Join us for a brown bag session while the American Association of Museums Annual Meeting is in Houston to explore ways to further engage with Houston’s vast and diverse museum community. Museums are an integral part of our community and an important part of a healthy civic life. From volunteering to the development of unique partnerships to young professionals groups – there are many, many ways to get involved at museums.
