The Alzheimer’s Association Houston & Southeast Texas Chapter's inaugural gala, "An Evening of HOPE,” is co-chaired by Phoebe Tudor and Kelli Weinzierl, who are leading the way toward the Association's vision of a world without Alzheimer's along with their supportive host committee and committed sponsors.
Guests will hear a special message from Queen Sofía of Spain, who has long advocated for those with Alzheimer’s disease around the world. Dr. Huda Zoghbi, world renowned neuroscientist whose work has led to key discoveries in neurodegenerative diseases, will share an inspirational update about her research.
The featured speaker is Dr. Laura Baker of the Wake Forest School of Medicine. She will discuss her latest research about nutrition and exercise as strategies to preserve cognition during aging, and the groundbreaking US POINTER study happening in Houston.
The evening will begin with an elegant cocktail reception, followed by a three-course dinner and program, a curated art auction, and musical entertainment.
