An adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's early classic The 39 Steps, this murder mystery has won two Tonys and a Drama Desk Award.
The play is a combination of Monty Python-style humor and Alfred Hitchcock's movie plot. The entire play is performed with four actors playing 150 different characters—a sight to see regardless of how well it's pulled off.
The play opens with a murder and then the appearance of the mysterious organization, "The 39 Steps", who quickly move to hunt down the killer. It's a fast-paced "whodunit" mystery sure to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.
