MECA will present the return to Houston of one of its most successful artist alumni. Pianist Alejandro Vela studied at MECA during his high school years with noted pianist and composer, the late Robert Avalon. He will perform a set of pieces by Sergei Rachmaninov as well as works by Johannes Brahms, Ernesto Lecuona, Alberto Ginastera, and Christopher O'Riley's arrangements of songs by Radiohead.
