The theme for this year's AIDS Walk is "I'm Walking Because…," a campaign geared to engage the participants to share their reasons for partaking in the 2013 AIDS Walk Houston. AIDS Walk Houston is a non-competitive 5K event that increases community awareness and educates Houstonians about HIV/AIDS. Proceeds benefit AIDS Foundation Houston as well as several other Houston-area HIV/AIDS service organizations that support education, pediatric programs and provide housing, food, medical care, counseling and job training.
