Presented by Chevron, the theme for this year's luncheon focuses on Eliminating Stigma. In Houston and throughout the nation, stigma keeps thousands from annual HIV tests and shames those who are infected, keeping them from seeking and staying in medical care.

This year, the Shelby Hodge Vision Award recipient is The Honorable Rodney Ellis. Senator Ellis works to end HIV/AIDS in the community by supporting legislation such as mandatory HIV testing for those entering and exiting Texas prisons and normalizing testing by supporting free HIV testing initiatives throughout our community. The luncheon keynote speaker is Dr. Brandon Brown, Director of the Global Health Research, Education and Translation Initiative in the University of California Irvine Program in Public Health.
