The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston showcases contemporary African films, including recent features and documentaries, at the African Film Festival. The festival opens June 4 and runs through June 27.

In Sex, Okra, and Salted Butter, an African family immigrates to France to find their lives unexpectedly turned upside down. It all begins when the mother runs away with her white lover, unleashing a series of comedic shakeups for the whole family.
