The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston showcases contemporary African films, including recent features and documentaries, at the African Film Festival. The festival opens June 4 and runs through June 27.
Opening night at Discovery Green begins with live music by D.R.U.M. followed by a screening of Movement Revolution Africa. The film delves into the lives and works of nine African choreographers who challenge the stereotypes of "traditional Africa" with their response to the beauty and tragedy of 21st-century Africa.
