The AdvoCare Texas Kickoff game weekend will get underway at The Bud Light Party in the Park, headlined with a free concert by Houston’s own Paul Wall.

Wall has released eight solo albums and three collaborative albums over the course of his career with artists including Snoop Dogg, Chamillionaire, and Jermaine Dupri. Dubbed as “The People’s Champ,” Wall won three Ozone Awards in 2006 and was a Grammy Award nominee for Best Rap Performance as a Duo or Group in 2007.

Along with Wall’s performance, the event will include visits by cheerleaders, mascots and football legends from the University of Houston and University of Oklahoma, a drumline performance, sponsor activations and giveaways including apparel, tickets and sideline passes for Saturday’s matchup between the Houston Cougars and Oklahoma Sooners.
