As part of the Metzler New Works Festival, A.D. Players will present Apollo 8 as a streaming production.

1968. America is a divided country living in constant tension and fear amidst the Vietnam War, the Cold War, the Civil Rights movement, and a heated political landscape. On top of all of this, Russia looks certain to beat the United States in the race to the moon. NASA makes the risky decision to move up the timeline to orbit an American around the moon first. They have just 16 weeks to prepare. And their chances of success versus disaster are evenly split.

Along with the true stories of the brave Americans who planned and flew the improbable and dangerous mission, Apollo 8 also tells the fictional stories of people moved and inspired by our first journey to the moon, all culminating in a grand and divine glimpse of who we are and who we were made to be.

The production will be available to stream at any time, May 3-16.
