Ad Deum Dance Company and its artistic sidekick, AD2, will join forces to create an evening of fast, furious and fun modern dance offerings. This shared bill will include a fusion of dance styles and an eclectic mix of choreographic craft by a host of choreographers.
Artistic director Randall Flinn adds to the mix with his newly created luminous work Bread of Angels. This celestial composition is inspired by the angelic harmonies of the boys choir known as Libera. Flinn has chosen a loftier vocabulary of movement for this work, inspired by Ad Deum's recent and upcoming collaborations with the José Limón Dance Company.
Shizu Yasuda has composed a musically moving dance piece to driving selections from Johann Sebastian Bach remixed by The Piano Guys. Voices in Harmony offers dancers hurdling out of their seats and then connecting in three part harmony. Guest choreographer Durell Comedy of the José Limón Dance Company takes an inside look into the world of Mozart in Waisenhaus Mass.
