The 9th Annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival will throw a party unlike anything it has ever put on to date. For the first time in its storied history of partnering with diverse venues for its programming, the Houston Cinema Arts Society is partnering up with White Oak Music Hall as it celebrates resilience through the arts with a dynamic program mixing film, song and dance.

As a symbolic nod to the unprecedented rain calamity that was Hurricane Harvey, Singin’ in the Rain: A Houston and Cinema Arts Celebration will feature live performances from notable musical artists – all of whom are Houston natives – including hip-hop icon and hometown hero Bun B; acclaimed jazz singer, songwriter, and actress Kat Edmonson; and legendary vocalist Carolyn Wonderland. The evening will also feature a rousing routine choreographed by Oliver Halkowich featuring Houston Ballet dancers.
