Nearly 100 vendors — a mix of regulars who return year after year and 30 percent new vendors — will display their goods at one of Houston's largest spring markets. Featuring jewelry, art, clothing, hand-crafted gifts, home accessories, antiques, Easter specialties, stationery, crafts, food products and garden items, part of the proceeds from the market will benefit non-profit service organizations. Last year, Spring Thing Market raised and distributed $65,000 to 24 organizations, including the Memorial Assistance Ministries, Westside Homeless Partnership, Wesley Community Center, Shalom Health Ministry and Fair Haven Food Pantry.
Spring Thing also includes a silent auction showcasing autographed memorabilia, tickets to sporting events and the Houston Rodeo, vacation home packages, decorative accessories and unique theme baskets. The silent auction proceeds also go to a charitable distribution fund.
The preview party is on March 1 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. The free market will be open on March 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on March 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
