Houston's version of the Heisman Trophy, the Lombardi Award, ups its profile this year as it will be presented in a theater setting at the George R. Brown for the first time in its history. Named after legendary coach Vince Lombardi, the award is given to the best lineman in college football. Auburn defensive lineman Nick Fairley, Clemson defensive end Da'Quan Bowers, Iowa defensive end Adrian Clayborn and TCU center Jake Kirkpatrick are the four finalists and all four players will be Houston for two days of events.
Rudy Ruettiger — the Rudy of Notre Dame — will be the guest speaker. Tickets cost $100 ($25 for students).
