Miller Outdoor Theatre becomes the world’s center for Chicano music at the 37th Annual Festival Chicano, a reflection of the artistic creativity that has developed in the Chicano cultural experience after centuries of influence from Native Peoples, Mexico, Europe, and the United States.

Chicano music has been historically shaped by many diverse styles such as Tejano, Conjunto, Rancheras, Corridos, Mariachi, Big Band, Rhythm and Blues, Country, Rock and Roll, and many others. Because of its historical roots, Chicano music has vigorously survived industry neglect and economic limitations to become an original, authentic, American cultural expression.

The 37th Annual Festival Chicano will showcase Chicano music through some of its most accomplished performers; it is truly a unique and original American sound.
