At Local Fare for Local Freedom, local Houston chefs will compete for the title of Freedom Chef to raise funds for A 2nd Cup, a non-profit coffee shop fighting human trafficking. The event will focus on the organization’s culinary training program that supports survivors of human trafficking. The annual gala is a night for comraderie, support, and giving back.
Guests will enjoy a silent auction, drawing, and paddle raise, along with entertainment and specially prepared hors d’oeuvres by local Houston chefs. Guests will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite with the winner crowned Freedom Chef the end of the night.
