The 2nd annual Two Step for Small Steps fundraiser allows Small Steps to raise awareness among Houston’s young professionals of the crucial work being done, in turn providing an educational foundation to Houston children who would not have a similar opportunity without Small Steps’ program.
Proceeds received from Two Step for Small Steps benefit Small Steps Nurturing Center, a non-profit organization that operates two preschools for economically at-risk students living in the First and Fifth Wards of Houston. Small Steps provides a high-quality education, social and emotional support, a nurturing Christian environment, transportation, and nutritious meals to 180 economically at-risk children, ages two through six. Small Steps invests in the lives of these children through meeting their needs, intervening early, and setting them on a trajectory filled with greater opportunities. Small Steps receives no governmental funding and depends exclusively on private donations from individuals, corporations, churches, and foundations.
