The Great Grown-Up Spelling Bee raises community awareness and program support for adult literacy efforts in Houston. This festive event begins with a seated dinner and ends with a team spelling competition, for those who want to participate. Teams of two from various organizations compete until one emerges as the winner.
All proceeds from the event support Houston Center for Literacy and its work to improve the city's literacy.
