Pumpkin Patch at the Nature Discovery Center was awarded a 2014 Gold Daisy Award for Best Festival/Annual Event in Southwest Houston by Macaroni Kid, and not without reason. Popular festival games, inflatables, a tubs-of-fun ride, the rope bridge, face painting, a horse drawn wagon, vendors selling gift items, piles and piles of pumpkins and more make this event a family favorite. Festival activities fill Russ Pitman Park, the 4-acre park surrounding the Nature Discovery Center.

Tickets are sold at both the north and south ends of the park. Proceeds from this festival benefit the science and nature based educational programs of the Nature Discovery Center, the mission of which is to ignite lifelong curiosity, understanding and respect for nature through education.
