Hundreds of runners will strip down to their skivvies for the Hot Undies Run in an effort to raise money for Undies for Everyone and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The sixth annual Hot Undies Run will begin and end at The Gorgeous Gael in Rice Village.
Runners are asked to arrive at 10 am for event check-in. The pre-party starts at 11 a.m. with the race commencing at noon. The post-party festivities begin shortly after at 12:30 pm and will include drinks, music, raffles, dance-offs and a group costume contest.
Online registration is currently open for individuals and teams of five. Entry fees are $40 for individuals and $125 for teams if registered before July 17. Fees increase to $50 for individuals and $175 for teams between July 18 and August 1. The registration process also asks participants to consider a donation to the charitable beneficiaries as contribution to this year’s fundraising goal.
All participants are encouraged to bring new, unopened packages of underwear (sizes 4 - 16) as a donation in exchange for a free raffle ticket. The collected underwear will be distributed to underprivileged children through Undies For Everyone.
This year’s raffle prizes include a Yeti cooler, a bike and more. Raffle ticket sales will help Undies For Everyone as the organization works to buy more undies and distribute 125,000 pair to local children this year.
