The CultureMap Houston Tastemaker Awards are an annual celebration of the talent in Houston's food and drink community, as selected by their peers. Our mission is to shine a spotlight on the people making the city's restaurant scene special and honor their innovation, energy and creativity.
Participating restaurants include Bernie's Burger Bus, Common Bond, Dosi, KUU, Mascalzone, Paulie's, Prohibition Supper Club & Bar, Radio Milano, Table 57, Tout Suite, Uchi and Whole Foods Market.
Alaskan and Odell beer will be served, as will wine from Emilio Moro and Finca Resalso. Herradura specialty cocktails will be created by Bartender of the Year nominees.
The event will also feature art from Alberto Godoy, Ani Varadaraju, Edgar Medina and Paige Moore. Pieces will be available for sale, proceeds from which will benefit Washington Avenue Arts District, which is also the beneficiary of the entire event. DJ Little Marin will spin tunes to entertain the crowd.
