Buffalo Bayou Partnership Looking Back History Tours with Louis Aulbach

Take a look back at the late 1800s, when Houston was founded, to learn about those important individuals and families along Buffalo Bayou who helped shape Houston. Listen, learn and enjoy the breeze aboard Buffalo Bayou Partnership's new pontoon boat.

Louis Aulbach, local historian and author of Buffalo Bayou: An Echo of Houston's Wilderness Beginnings, will share stories of the Allen brothers, the founders of Houston, and provide historical information about places, people, animals and events along the bayou west and east of downtown, including which families were first to settle in Houston, the first breweries of Buffalo Bayou and early wildlife sightings.
