Each year on the third Thursday of November, at precisely one minute after midnight, thousands of bottles of the fruity Beaujolais Nouveau begin their race to the villages and towns of France and the rest of the world. By French law, no producer can release his or her Beaujolais until 12:01 a.m., and not a second sooner.
