Hundreds of reenactors recreate the events leading up to Texas winning independence at the Battle of San Jacinto. Expect booming cannons, cracking musket fire, thundering hooves and battle cries in this family-friendly day-long festival with music, entertainment, food and games set amidst living history.
The battle reenactment, the most popular event of the day at 3 p.m., relives the battle where General Sam Houston led Texian soldiers to victory over the Mexican Army.
