The first photograph, all of the costumes from Gone With The Wind and a rare complete Gutenberg Bible are just a few of the treasures in the collection of the Harry Ransom Center at The University of Texas at Austin. Tom Staley, director of the Ransom Center, will share inspiring tales of the Center’s founding and growth, including a behind-the-scenes look at the archives and often hilarious stories about the Center’s acquisitions of irreplaceable books, manuscripts, photography, film and art.

The event begins with a reception at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch with Staley’s program at noon.
