For the past two decades, the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston has hosted the Houston National Invitational (HNI) gymnastics competition. This year, the meet will take place Feb. 21-24 at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Athletes travel from across the United States, Israel, China, Japan, Russia, Canada, Columbia, Mexico and the Ukraine. Participants range from first-time competitors as young as 6 to senior elite gymnasts.

In attendance will be several Olympic Medalists including Houstonian Jonathan Horton, Svetlana Boginskaya and Oksana Chusovitina as well as the Chinese Men's team.
