The Houston Film Critics Movie Awards is an annual “Oscars-style” event features nominations in 17 movie categories and the announcement of those winners as voted by members of the Houston Film Critics Society.

Hosted by local film critics and movie industry notables, the event features live, abridged performances of the five Best Song nominees, the awarding of the Texas Independent Film Award, and a few surprises.
