Over 200 home-improvement experts will gather at the 15th Annual Spring Home & Garden Show The Woodlands.

Technology is continually evolving to meet the challenge of helping homeowners respond to the age-old dilemma of keeping their families and possessions safe. To address safety concerns, specialists from Dawson Security Group will be at the show to answer questions and display and provide information on the industry’s newest products – safes, smartphone apps, Bluetooth-enabled systems, keyless entries and home automation.

J Schwanke, from uBloom.com will present two demonstrations each day from The Woodlands Lifestyles & Homes Presentation Stage – Flowers for Entertaining and Life is #BetterWithFlowers. In each demonstration Schwanke will share tips for designing beautiful arrangements, presenting that program’s creation to one lucky audience member. In addition, Schwanke will sign and sell copies of his books – the 2015 Living Now Book Award-winner “Fun With Flowers: Your Guide to Selecting, Arranging and Enjoying Beautiful Flowers,” and 2017 IPPY Award-nominated “Bloom 365: The Essential Guide to Selecting and Arranging Flowers Every Day” – at a special show price of $20 for both books.

In addition, the first 100 ladies through the door on each day of the show will receive a free bunch of American-grown lilies, courtesy of Stargazer Barn and Texwood Shows.

Also taking the stage will be Nature’s Way Resources’ Owner John Ferguson, who will present “Save Water Naturally in the Coming Summer Months …” and General Manager Mark Bowen will discuss a “Variety of Plant Selections You Can Plant Right Now!” Stephen Hann, Graduate Master Builder, Graduate Master Remodeler, Certified Green Building Professional and owner of Hann Builders will address homeowners with a desire to build new with “When Building Custom Homes, Good Planning SAVES YOU MONEY!” and Certified Professional Organizer Ellen Delap can help anyone get inspired for spring cleaning with “Easy and Quick Decluttering Tips!”

Atomist Fans will help beat the heat around the Cunningham Gas Outdoor Cooking Stage’s sizzling summer demonstrations featuring Chef Connor Moran, who will fire up a FireDisc Grill, the ultimate portable propane cooker; Chef Shirley Byrd, who will be cooking on the latest Fire Magic Gas Grill; and Louisiana Grills Chef Kelly Wertz, who will demonstrate pellet cooking. Those attending the cooking demonstrations will have an opportunity, while supplies last, to taste samples of the chefs’ specially selected menus.

As Texans, we spend a lot of time outdoors cooking, eating, playing and living. Adding the luxuries of life, such as electronics, to those activities without the fear of water damage will be addressed by experts from Sealoc, who will demonstrate the effectiveness of the company’s Nano-Coating Technology to waterproof televisions, cellphones, tablets and other electronic devices.

Spending a relaxing day outside becomes a lot easier with seating from David Frank Design. With a variety of covered swings and lounging chairs constructed of rust- and corrosion-resistant parts, these chairs provide a comfortable place to rest. Outdoor living gets an added boost at the show with Sunspace Texas’ WeatherMaster Plus stacking door system. Custom-designed to enclose sunrooms or covered patios, the doors can be quickly and easily closed against a sudden downpour, and just as easily reopened when the threat passes.

Homeowners in southeast Texas know the area’s subtropical climate and proximity to the Gulf makes severe weather a matter of when it will happen rather than if it does. Just in time for hurricane season, representatives from Texas Hurricane Fabric will provide information on the effective, easy-to-install and space-saving storage of AstroGuard, its patented hurricane protection shield, and experts from KISS Generators will discuss Kohler generators, and how they help meet power needs during an outage.
