Giuseppe Verdi’s masterwork is being performed for the first time on the water stage of Lake Constance, Bregenz, Austria. One of Verdi’s most popular works, Rigoletto is a tale of sacrifice and revenge; of a father’s rage, and a daughter’s shame. Directed and designed by Philipp Stölzl, this tragedy will give audiences an opportunity to witness a combination of entertainment and emotional intensity.
