"Run for the Rose" is a certified 5K race and fun-walk started to honor the legacy of Dr. Marnie Rose, who tragically lost her life to brain cancer. Since its beginning, more than $3 million has been raised to fund pioneering brain cancer research at M.D. Anderson and pediatric programs at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Awards will be given to male and female 5K participants who finish first, as well as the top three male and female finishers in age-specific categories. All runners and walkers will receive a commemorative T-shirt and admission to the post-race party which includes food and live entertainment.
