The annual Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival brings together the best of the Fifth Ward with music, food, art, and activities for all ages. Festival highlights including honoring Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee; a celebration of Wheatley High School’s Basketball Team; performances from Bayou City Brass Band, Step Rideau and the Zydeco Outlaws, and more; a line dance tribute to Congressman and Former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner; a helicopter egg drop; food vendors; and more.

The festival takes place in the 3800-4000 blocks of Lyons Avenue.
