The 12th Annual Community Immunity Spring Luncheon, benefitting The Immunization Partnership, will be a virtual event featuring keynote speaker Dr. Peter Hotez, a preeminent vaccine expert and an internationally-recognized physician-scientist who led the development of vaccines to prevent and treat neglected tropical diseases and coronavirus infections, including a new Texas Children’s COVID-19 vaccine that is being accelerated in India and is now undergoing clinical testing.
The Immunization Partnership hosts this special event annually to focus community leaders on the importance of immunization issues, to raise funds to support and embolden their programs, and to honor those who have advanced immunizations and increased immunization rates. As the community has battled the COVID-19 pandemic, TIP’s mission to create a community free from vaccine-preventable diseases and to support the development and dissemination of new vaccines has never been more important.
