Top Houston mixologists Chase Ware, Richard Baily, and Chris Morris will represent their city as other talent from Dallas, Austin, and New Orleans travel to the Space City for a chance to take home the Houston Regional Most Imaginative Bartender Title.

The regional winner will be one of 12 finalists traveling to London – home of Bombay Sapphire and its Laverstoke Distillery – to vie for the 2017 North American title. For the first time ever, the winner will be named GQ Magazine’s “Bartender in Residence,” collaborating with the men’s magazine on a series of cocktail videos throughout the year.

The regional winner will also have the chance to collaborate with a well-known artist, leading up to the finale to create a work of art inspired by their winning cocktail recipe. The final MIB winner will go on to work with a world-renowned artist on an inspired piece illustrating the collision between cocktails and visual art, debuting the final creation amongst the 12 regional cocktail pieces at a special gallery event in New York City this fall.
